Mount Amadablam is at the altitude of (6856m) which is one of the most stunning peaks in the Himalaya and one of the most impressive mountains in the world. Well, Ama Dablam is located at the heart of Khumbu region, directly above the Tyangboche Monastery. And we have to follow the well-known path to the Everest Base Camp and thousands of trekkers admired this climb. Ama Dablam Expedition is technical climb and offers superb experience with magnificent mountain setting with numerous cultural and scenic diversities. 

Mount Ama Dablam is first scaled by an Anglo-American-New Zealand Team in 1961 and has been climbed frequently with different routes by many groups in recent years. 

We will climb the peak via Southwest Ridge which is the original line of ascent. For sure, it gives a fine and varied climb sustained at a reasonable level of difficulty and with good camp platforms at strategic points. ​Day 01: Arrival in Kathmandu
Upon your arrival in Kathmandu, our representatives from Active Everest Treks will receive you in Tribhuvan International Airport and transfer you to the hotel.

Day 02: Kathmandu Valley Sightseeing 
Today, you will have a full day guided sightseeing tour of Kathmandu valley. You will visit the Pashupatinath (the Holiest Temple of Lord Shiva), Swayambhunath (the Monkey Temple), Bauddhanath (one of the oldest and largest Buddhist Monastery) and Kathmandu Durbar Square among others. Many of the sites are cited as World Heritage Sites by UNESCO. You stay overnight at hotel. 

Day 03: Office Formalities and Pre-trip preparation
Today, we will attend the formal briefing at the ministry of Tourism. And the expedition leader will check that everyone’s equipment is in working order. We stay overnight at hotel in Kathmandu. 

Day 04: Fly to Lukla (2804m) from Kathmandu and trek to Phakding (2610m): 3 hours
We today catch our scenic morning flight to Lukla from Kathmandu. The flight will take around 35 minutes to reach Tenzing and Hillary Airport at Lukla. Upon arrival at the Lukla Airpot, our guides will brief you and introduce with our porters before we begin our trek to Phakding. Then, we start trekking to Phakding and it takes approx. 3 hours to reach there. We stay overnight at guesthouse in Phakding.

Day 05: Trek from Phakding to Namche Bazaar (3441m): 5 hours
Today, we continue trekking along the banks of Dudh Koshi crossing the majestic river many times on exciting suspension bridges laden with prayer flags. We then enter into Sagarmatha National Park from where our trail climbs steeply with amazing views. We eventually reach at Namche which is the Gateway to Everest. We stay overnight at guesthouse.

Day 06: Rest and Acclimatization Day at Namche
Today, we will spend a day in Namche for proper acclimatization in high altitude. We will be exploring the museum and then hike up to Syangboche around Everest View Hotel. And from here, we can see rewarding views of the Himalayas with stunning sunrise and sunset over the panorama of Khumbu peaks. We stay overnight at guesthouse.

Day 07: Trek from Namche to Tyangboche Monastery (3860m): 5 hours
Our trek continues along the rushing glacial waters of the Dudh Koshi with magnificent views of mountains. On reaching Tyanboche we will see the local monastery at the altitude of 3860m. We will also observe a prayer ceremony either in the evening or morning. We stay overnight at guesthouse.

Day 08: Trek from Tyangboche to Dingboche (4350m): 6 hours
Our trail drops to Debuche from Tengboche and crosses another exciting suspension bridge on Imja Khola. We also climb to Pangboche among thousands of Mani stones. We will be our uphill trekking which takes us to the traditional Sherpa Village of Dingboche. From Dingboche, we can witness the exquisite views of Lhotse, Amadablam and Island Peak. We stay overnight at guesthouse.

Day 09: Acclimatization Day at Dingboche
Today, you can enjoy another day for acclimatization. We will hike to Chhukung village through Imja Khola valley for observing the marvelous view of surrounding mountains especially Lhotse. We then return to Dingboche by the evening. We stay overnight at guesthouse.

Day 10: Trek from Dingboche to Amadablam Base Camp (4600m): 5 hours
Today, we trek back down the trail to the bridge at Pangboche and then cross the Dudh Koshi River before climbing the far side of the river. We will be following the trail and ridgeline up to the base camp. We stay overnight at tented camp.

Day 11: Rest and Acclimatization Day at Amadablam Base Camp 
Today will be the acclimatization day at Amadablam Base Camp to adjust with the higher altitude. We stay overnight at tented camp. 

Day 12-26: Amadablam Climbing Period
During this period, we will ascend up to the summit of Mount Amadablam. The climb period will be determined by the expedition leader and members. We will spend few days at the base camp organizing food and acclimatizing with the altitude. Besides Base Camp, we will set up three other camps for push for the summit. We then return to the Base camp.

Day 27: Trek back to Namche Bazaar: 6 hours
After the successful climb of Amadablam, we today retrace our trek back to Namche. We stay overnight at hotel. 

Day 28: Trek from Namche to Lukla: 6 hours
We finally return to Lukla where the trek began. We stay overnight at guesthouse.

Day 29: Fly back to Kathmandu
Today, we fly back to Kathmandu from Lukla. In the remaining time, you can take your time to explore the Kathmandu city. And in the evening, we will have a farewell dinner in a traditional Nepalese restaurant with cultural performances. You stay overnight at a hotel in Kathmandu.

Day 30: Final Departure
Today, your Nepal trip concludes and our representatives will drop you to Tribhuvan International Airport for your returning home flight.
